Angry Chickz Enters New Mexico and Texas with 25-Unit Deal
The fan-fueled sensation is set to debut in 11 new markets across the Southwest over the next five years, marking the brand’s largest development deal to date
LOS ANGELES (Dec. 4, 2025) – Angry Chickz, the California-born Nashville Hot Chicken brand with a serious following, is spreading its fiery footprint through a multi-unit franchise agreement across Texas and New Mexico.
The agreement will bring 25 Angry Chickz locations to life over the next five years in 11 new markets. The expansion will span the Dallas–Fort Worth and Austin markets, extend to Longview and Wichita Falls, and deep into West Texas in San Angelo, Amarillo, Lubbock, Midland-Odessa, Abilene and Sweetwater, as well as Albuquerque. The first restaurant is slated to open in 2026.
“This is a major step for us,” said Mike LaRue, vice president of franchise development for Angry Chickz. “We’ve been hearing from fans in Texas and New Mexico for years asking us to come to their community, and now we’ve found the right partners to make it happen. They understand the bold flavor, the high energy and the insane fire that define Angry Chickz.”
From a single 900-square-foot storefront in East Hollywood to one of the West Coast’s hottest chicken brands, Angry Chickz has built undeniable traction. With a winning formula of fast, crave-worthy food, high-energy service and a bold, unmistakable vibe, the brand is ready to bring that signature experience to entirely new audiences in New Mexico and Texas.
“It’s all about momentum,” LaRue added. “Our fans try it once, fall in love and spread the word. Simple, flavorful food that connects fast — that’s the Angry Chickz effect.”
Angry Chickz has 33 restaurants across California, Nevada, Arizona, and Texas — and now, the next frontier is heating up. With its latest move into the Southwest, Angry Chickz is solidifying its position as a major contender in the booming hot chicken category.
